In 2023, we developed several special mould models designed specifically for the production of concrete blocks used to reinforce the shoreline at Ponta Negra. These custom blocks were engineered to withstand the harsh conditions of the coastal environment and provide long-lasting protection against erosion.
The project is now nearing completion and is already showcasing its effectiveness and strength, demonstrating the reliability and durability of our concrete solutions in challenging environments.
The project was divided into nine sections, with between 800 and 900 concrete blocks installed at each point of the rockfill. Over the entire two-kilometer length, around 19,000 blocks were put in place. These interventions successfully expanded the beach, increasing the sand strip by 50 meters at high tide and 100 meters at low tide.
